IASSH Membership

The Association has nearly 1300 life members now cutting across the disciplines in the field of Social Sciences and Health Studies. Our members belong to different walks of life Academia, Social work, Government and practitioners of different disciplines Sociology, Anthropology, Demography, Economics, Geography, Women’s studies, Health education, Occupational health, Health management etc. In addition we have two institutional members- Minne-sota Population Centre, Minneapolis, MN 55455 USA, and Institute for Research in Reproductive Health, Mumbai. Minnesota Population Centre is the FIRST International institute to join as Institutional member. Institute for Research in Reproductive Health (NIIRH) is the FIRST Indian institute to join as Institutional Member.

Membership Categories

  • Life Membership:
    Any health social scientist who makes a one-time payment of INR 5,000/-and approved by the Executive Council shall be a Life Member of the Association.
  • Institutional Membership:
    Any educational, scientific, professional or research institution which makes a one-time payment of INR 50, 000/- and approved by the Executive Council shall be an Institutional Member of the Association.
